We are world leaders in blind and sighted travel, and we do things a little differently
Here’s some information on how our Charity Challenges work
Participants will form firm relationships along their journey. Sharing the adventure the Traveleyes way will keep your participants returning time and time again.
If you are a charity or a company, we can arrange a bespoke challenge to a destination and for an activity of your choice. So, whether it be trekking, skiing, sailing, cycling, or building projects, we will have something to inspire you, all with the unique Traveleyes difference. You provide the sighted participants, and we’ll provide the visually impaired travellers. If you wish to undertake a charity challenge as a solo traveller or with a group of friends, take a look at our current charity challenges, or suggest a new challenge for us to undertake!
What are you waiting for?

How it works!
Firstly, choose the challenge that is right for you. We have a range of itineraries ready to go, or we can work together to craft a totally bespoke idea with your charity ethos as our inspiration. How about tandem cycling between two iconic destinations, trekking from coast to coast, or climbing a mountain or volcano?
Following an initial consultation about your challenge ideas, we’ll develop a selection of ideas and itineraries for you to select from. If you know where you would like to go and what activity you wish to undertake, we’ll create and send you an itinerary with prices and dates. Or alternatively, we will develop an itinerary around your chosen destination.
You can decide on the length of the challenge and tailor the visits and projects we undertake to be relevant to the work of your charity. If you work for a charity to do with visual impairment, we could arrange a visit to a school for visually impaired children. Or if you work for an animal welfare charity, why not incorporate a wildlife sanctuary into your itinerary?
Next, we’ll further develop your chosen idea and tailor it to your goals. Once the itinerary is finalised, we’ll send you all the details and costings for you to then promote to get participants on board. Prices will be provided depending on the potential size of the group, the more participants that can come, the cheaper the trip will be!
We’re on hand to offer branding and itinerary advice so that you get the most out of your challenge. Each challenge will have an agreed fundraising target that each participant is required to raise. Participants will need to pay a registration fee to us, then through their own dedication, time, and effort, they will raise the sponsorship amount to cover the cost of the challenge and raise money for your charitable cause – this will be made payable to you.
You can tailor the pricing structure as you see fit, deciding on the registration fee and the minimum sponsorship level required to take part. Typically, participants need to raise at least 80% of the fundraising target 10 weeks before the trip departs. At this stage, you will be invoiced for the balance of the challenge costs, but participants can continue fundraising!
Once participants have paid their registration fee, we provide trip notes, sighted guide training manual, booking form and a detailed itinerary. Closer to the trip’s departure date, we’ll provide necessary visa application advice and a full challenge information pack. All you need to do is collect the funds that have been raised by the participants and Traveleyes will invoice you the challenge costs 12 weeks before the trip departs.
As well as a sighted guide training pack, we also provide a training video to all participants and a member of the team can visit you for a workshop on what to expect on a Traveleyes Charity Challenge, providing further sighted guide training. On the challenge itself, every aspect of the trip will be operated by a professional tour manager and local agents.

Marketing
On our charity challenges, you can bring as much branding as you like to promote your company, charity and ethos along the many photo stops we’ll be having along the way! What’s more, is that your branding will appear on Traveleyes social media too, giving further publicity to your company and chosen charity. With a dedicated in-house social media team, we can promote your event to our social audience, driving recruitment for the challenge.

Our specialist tour managers will be with the group from start to finish. We’ll meet at the airport for further sighted guide training and off we go! Your tour manager will take photos and videos as the group progresses on the challenge and will ensure everything runs smoothly to make your adventure truly memorable.
