Wednesday 13th May
Today we travel to Faro, where we will then transfer to our hotel in Albufeira. The evening is then at leisure. Tonight we’ll enjoy our first included dinner together, a great chance to get to know your fellow travellers for the next week!

Thursday 14th May
Explore the surrounding area today as we head out on a jeep safari across Albufeira! On our morning tour we will descend into the surrounding countryside and see rural Albufeira as we pass through old villages typical of the area, where we can witness some of the local culture and tradition. We’ll also visit a local farm where we’ll have the chance to try some homemade honey, carob liquor and the Portuguese firewater known as Medronho! As we continue our journey, we will visit the highest point in Albufeira where we can marvel at the magnificent views across the coastline. Before we return to the hotel, we shall also learn about the process of cork making and visit a local village where there will be the option to stop for a quick dip in the spring coming from the mountain.
After our bumper packed morning, we’ll head back to the hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure before we reconvene for dinner in the hotel.

Friday 15th May
Today is at your own leisure, so take the day to explore with your day partner! Whether you want to relax by the hotel pool, hit the beach, or meander through the shops for a spot of holiday retail therapy, there is no shortage of things to do.

Saturday 16th May
This morning we head out onto the open ocean, as we cruise west along the coastline between the Albufeira Marina and the famous Benagil Cave! We’ll sail through the crystal waters, alongside the coast and witness the beauty of this area from the sea itself before visiting the Benagil Cave, a cave sculpted by the sea to form a perfect round hole in the roof of the cave. On our journey we will visit several caves, each its own unique shape, and have the opportunity to take a dip in the tantalising ocean if you so wish to!
This afternoon we will return to the shore and you’ll have plenty of time to relax for the rest of the day.

Sunday 17th May
Today is the perfect day to head into the centre of Albufeira to explore the Old Town, situated at the seafront. Here you can often find street artists, local shops full of crafts and trinkets, and an abundance of bars and restaurants. You may wish to head to one of the nearby beaches or head further afield to discover a more remote, quiet patch of sand!

Monday 18th May
After breakfast this morning we will head out for the day, as we venture to the bustling southern capital of Portugal, Faro. Upon arrival, we will meet with our local guide who will take us on a walking tour around the city. We’ll wander through Faro’s Old Town and hear the tales of the city’s rich history before exploring the more modern centre!
Following our tour, we will have a few hours free time to explore the city ourselves. You and your day partner may wish to head to the shops, meander along the waterfront, or sit back and watch the world go by in a quaint café. The choice is yours! In the afternoon, we will make our way back to Albufeira for dinner at our hotel.

Tuesday 19th May
Enjoy your last full day today with free time. Today is your last chance to do anything you haven’t done yet, be that heading out on the water for some water sports, sampling some of the local cuisine, or simply savouring the last of the beating Portuguese sun!

Wednesday 20th May
Sadly, today we must bid farewell to this slice of paradise along the Algarve and travel to the airport to begin our journey home.
