Saturday 20th April

Today we shall embark on our journey to Dubrovnik, where our local guide will meet us and transfer with us to Luka Sipanska – a little village on the island of Sipan. This quaint village at the far end of the island is known for its beautiful sunsets and bays lined with palm trees. Sipan is the largest of the Elaphiti Islands, brimming with chapels, monasteries and castles all awaiting exploration. Tonight we will have dinner together and a brief regarding the week to come!

Overnight in Sipan. Dinner included.

Sunday 21st April

Our week of activities begins today as we embark on a hike from our village of Luka Sipanska to Sudurad. Our journey will take us inland and across this beautiful island past breathtaking scenery. As we walk across these lands, we will come across local hilltop farms, quaint and traditional homes and picturesque olive groves. The walk itself will not be overly strenuous, as we shall follow a typical cycling route along a quiet paved road. It is approximately 5km to Sudurad village and 5km return.

Walking: 3 hours at an easy to moderate difficulty level

Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight in Sipan.

Monday 22nd April

The Elaphiti Islands are one of the best Croatian archipelagos for sea kayaking.  Today we can uncover the surrounding beauty of these islands as we kayak through the waters. We’ll head west towards Jakjan, Tajan and Olipa islands. These three islands all remain uninhabited, with their beaches only accessible by water. We shall have time to swim and cool off in the revitalising water. This afternoon we shall return to our accommodation to relax, or you may wish to venture out and discover the charms of the village of Sipan. We shall reconvene in the evening for dinner together.

Sea kayaking: 2-3 hours, easy difficulty level

Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight in Sipan.

Tuesday 23rd April

Today we step away from the island of Sipan to explore the neighbouring island of Lopud, once the summer destination for many aristocratic families from Croatia due to its magnificent beauty. Today you will find an array of intricate stone buildings, a crumbling archaic fortress and a tantalising white sand beach hidden by lush pine forests. We shall explore this island of hidden delights as we walk from the sea to the top of the island, where we will be faced with an unforgettable view of the Elaphiti Archipelago.

Walking: 2-3 hours at an easy difficulty level; Ferry: 15 minutes each way

Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight in Sipan.

Wednesday 24th April

Today is a day at leisure. You may wish to stay in the area and use this time to explore the quaint and charming village we are residing in. Alternatively, you may wish to make your way to the port and hop on a ferry to visit one of the many neighbouring islands!

Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight in Sipan.

Thursday 25th April

Today we journey from our island of Sipan back to the mainland to Dubrovnik, a town brimming with Baroque architecture, intricate cobbled streets and medieval charm. The old town is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with the surrounding city walls built as early as the 9th century. As you venture within the walls, an abundance of archaeological delights await discovery such as the Cathedral, with the building itself being comparable to a work of art. Delve further into the fascinating past of this magnificent old town, stopping at sights such as the Franciscan Church and Monastery or the Rector’s Palace, an exquisite example of Gothic design. Spend your time meandering these picturesque streets and discover all the charms Dubrovnik has to offer. Why not stop for lunch at one of the many delectable cafes? For a birds-eye view of this stunning location hop on the cable car and view the city from the sky!

Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight in Sipan.

Friday 26th April

This morning we head out to Kolocep Island. The island is renowned for its kayaking, as many of the cliffs, caves, coves and beaches are only accessible from the water! The island itself remains unspoiled by modern times, with no cars allowed on the island and only two settlements across the entire island. In the afternoon, a catamaran will take us on a sunset sailing trip around the area to view this stunning land from the water. If we are lucky, we shall encounter some dolphins as we enjoy the dazzling sunset over the Elaphiti! This evening we shall enjoy a farewell dinner.

Sea kayaking: 3 hours, easy to moderate difficulty level; Sailing: 2 hours; Ferry: 45 minutes
