Monday 17th August

Today we arrive in Glasgow and check into our hotel. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon before meeting back up to enjoy our first evening together as a group!

Tuesday 18th August

We start our Glasgow city break with a fascinating walking tour around some of the most historic buildings in Glasgow. Enjoy soaking up the ancient history and magnificent architecture Glasgow has to offer. We will then stop off at the famous Willow’s tearoom, where you can enjoy delicious tea and scones.

In the afternoon we head to Wellpark Brewery, where we will get to go behind the scenes to discover the inner workings of Scotland’s favourite beer. Become immersed in a journey through the history of Scotland’s oldest brewery, home to over 450 years of brewing tradition and award-winning beers. We will end the brewery tour with a fresh pint of the famous beer, poured straight from an impressive copper tank, giving you a real taste of the Glasgow culture.

Wednesday 19th August

Today we head to the mesmerising Botanic Gardens for an exclusive tactile walking tour. Meander around the serene gardens, passing rare and beautiful plants before arriving to the elegant Victorian glasshouse. Go back in time to the 19th century; when the Botanic Gardens were founded and immerse yourself in the history and delicate architecture that the gardens exude, as though nothing since the end of the 19th century seems to have changed. You’ll get to touch and smell the unique plants and plant artefacts, whilst listening to the fascinating stories of the vast variety of different uses of these extraordinary plants.

The rest of the day is free to do as you wish at your own leisure. You could spend your time relaxing in the hotel or set off exploring more of this fascinating city, visiting The Lighthouse for fantastic views across Glasgow along your way. The choice is yours for how you’d like to spend your last afternoon in this delightful city!

Thursday 20th August

Sadly, we check out of our hotel this morning. You may wish to hang around in Glasgow a little while longer if you’re not ready to say goodbye to this unforgettable city just yet. The group will say their goodbyes and begin their travels home.
