Monday 14th July
Arriving in Dublin in the morning, we transfer from the capital out to the County Clare coast at Lahinch. After checking in at the Lahinch Coast Hotel, we can enjoy a relaxed walk along the promenade where you’ll soon be greeted by a beautiful crescent beach, a gentle Atlantic breeze and the soft sounds of the waves. The cool, salty, sea air and distant calls of seabirds make for a refreshing start to your Irish adventure. Why not visit the local favourite, Spooneys, to indulge in an ice cream to accompany your leisurely walk?
In the evening, we’ll have dinner at the hotel, then, perhaps visit a local pub for a lively atmosphere, traditional music, and warm hospitality. It’s the perfect way to experience the charm of Lahinch.
Dinner included. Overnight in Lahinch.
Tuesday 15th July
This morning we’ll start our day with a visit to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. Formed over 320 million years ago and rising out of the Atlantic Ocean to a height of over 700 ft in places, the natural beauty of this unique landscape has inspired artists, musicians and poets alike. Feel the rugged texture of the ancient stone paths beneath your feet and listen to seabirds calling from the towering cliffs. The visitor centre here offers tactile exhibits and engaging audio guides to enrich your visit.
In the afternoon, relax on a Killaloe cruise along Lough Derg, surrounded by peaceful green hills. This majestic lake is located between the counties of Clare, Tipperary and Galway and is the second largest lake in the republic of Ireland. The gentle motion of the boat and the sounds of the water create a soothing experience in beautiful surrounds before we return to Lahinch for dinner.
Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight in Lahinch.
Wednesday 16th July
After breakfast, we’ll head to the smallest of the Aran Islands, Inis Oírr, where a horse and trap tour awaits. Feel the rhythm of the horse’s steady pace and as you pass by traditional cottages, ancient ruins and enjoy phenomenal vistas across to the Cliffs of Moher. Your guide will share stories of the island, bringing the unique culture and history of Inis Oírr to life. We’ll return to Lahinch for some beach time, some afternoon tea or maybe a wander through the quaint old streets and shops before our exciting evening at Bunratty Castle for the famous Bunratty Medieval Banquet! Be transported back in time as you savour a traditional feast, accompanied by lively music and tales of Ireland’s history. It’s an unforgettable evening filled with flavour, song, and entertainment, and the perfect way to end your time in County Clare.
Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight in Lahinch.
Thursday 17th July
Bidding farewell to Lahinch and the beautiful County Clare coastline, we journey back to Dublin, Ireland’s bustling capital, for our next two nights. After settling into the Belvedere Hotel, we will enjoy a half-day guided walking city tour, where we’ll walk through cobbled streets and hear stories about landmarks like Trinity College and St. Stephen’s Green, accompanied by the hum of the city and distant church bells.
Your evening has been kept free to explore Dublin’s renowned nightlife. Visit Temple Bar, where live music and lively chatter fill the air, offering a true taste of the city.
Breakfast included. Overnight in Dublin.
Friday 18th July
We’ll begin today at the iconic Guinness Storehouse, where we’ll follow the brewing process through tactile exhibits, the scent of roasted barley, and the sounds of bubbling vats. Of course, no visit to the Storehouse would be complete without a cold pint of the black stuff in the Gravity Bar while enjoying an audio description of the panoramic views over the city.
A free afternoon gives you the opportunity for some more personal exploration of the city and maybe some last-minute souvenir purchases before our final night out. An Irish Night featuring dinner, live music, and dancing—a lively and joyous finale to your Irish adventure.
Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight in Dublin.
