Narrow streets are lined with tavernas, vibrant fruit stands, and welcoming people who create a unique and authentic atmosphere.  Our tour will also include some tasting of delectable Portuguese drink and food including the traditional liquor ginginha, roasted smoked sausage and fishcakes served in a traditional family run café. We shall also enjoy a wine tasting of 3 different wines and port.

Saturday 9th November

Today we will embark on a guided walking tour of the Belem district. Belem is where Portugal’s elite used to reside and it maintains its air of privilege and decadence. Now it is most famous for its well-maintained monuments such as the tower of Belem and the Jeronimos Monastery. We’ll visit Saint Jerome Church and the exterior of the Tower of Belem, where we will be able to feel a miniature replica outside the building! We’ll end the tour with the option to try Pasteis de Belem – a local delicacy!

Breakfast included. Overnight in Lisbon.

Sunday 10th November

Venture to picturesque and alluring Sintra. This UNESCO listed centre is home to a decadent Moorish Palace, sprawling pastel houses and exotic gardens.
