Below is the itinerary for the holiday. Please click each day for more information.

Friday 6th March

Today we depart for New York City. We’ll land mid-afternoon and will arrive at our hotel in time for check in. The evening is free for you to soak up the first glimpses of New York City or to rest after your travels.

Overnight in New York City.

Saturday 7th March

After a restful night, it’s time to explore Midtown Manhattan. Our 3-hour walking tour will take us through a journey from the elite mansions of Park Avenue to 42nd Street, the dangerous road of the Prohibition era. We’ll walk through Times Square, Grand Central Station, past the Empire State Building and the Rockefeller Centre, down 5th Avenue, and many more quintessential New York sights.

In the afternoon, we’ll experience New York’s skyline from the river as we take a cruise along the River Hudson and the East River. Embarking from Pier 83, we’ll glide past the World Trade Centre, Manhattan Bridge, The Statue Of Liberty, Ellis Island, and more!

The evening is free – you might want to grab a slice of New York pizza (some of the best are from the street food stalls or holes in the wall!), or go up the Empire State Building to see the city lit up at night from above.

Breakfast included. Overnight in New York City.

Sunday 8th March

For anyone that was old enough, it’s likely you remember exactly where you were on September 11th 2001. The day of the 9/11 attacks are a significant part of modern history and today we’ll explore that fateful day at the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. A guide will take us around for an hour before giving us our own time to explore, learn about, and reflect on that day and the effects it had on New York City and the rest of the world.

The rest of the day is yours to spend how you wish. You might want to explore more of downtown – venture to Wall Street and touch the Charging Bull, cross Brooklyn Bridge via foot, or catch a ferry over to the Statue Of Liberty. Alternatively, try your chances at getting a cheap Broadway theatre ticket for this evening by stopping by the TKTS Booth under the red steps in Duffy Square.

Breakfast included. Overnight in New York City.

Monday 9th March

Our tour today is of New York City’s Tenement Museum. Throughout history, people have come to the USA in search of the American Dream, and the Tenement Museum serves as a reminder that nations are shaped by immigration. Founded in 1988, this place shares the stories of two families who came to America and their struggles to survive and thrive in a new country and culture. We’ll enjoy a tactile tour of the building with historic household objects, representations of wallpaper, and other decorative elements from the past.

The rest of the day is yours to spend how you wish – if you want to take advantage of New York’s shopping scene, this afternoon might be a good time to stroll down 5th Avenue!

Breakfast included. Overnight in New York City.

Tuesday 10th March

Today is a completely free day for you to spend as you wish. Stroll through Central Park, go ice skating at the Rockefeller Centre, walk down The Highline, grab some good food in Hell’s Kitchen, soar to the top of One World Trade Centre…the options are endless. This is New York City, after all!

Breakfast included. Overnight in New York City.

Wednesday 11th March

Our flight departs this evening so there are a few hours where we can soak up the last magical moments in this city. We’ll depart for the airport late afternoon for our flight home.

Breakfast included. Overnight in flight.

Thursday 12th March

We arrive home today, and we hope you’ve had an incredible time in NYC! We can’t wait to see you on your next Traveleyes adventure!
