Below is the itinerary for the holiday. Please click each day for more information.

Tuesday 16th April

Check in to MS Boudicca from Dover, UK. This town is famous for its white cliffs so you might want to spend a bit of time here before we set sail at 4.30pm. When on the ship, there’s time to get settled into your room before we enjoy our first dinner together as a group at 8.30pm.

Overnight on MS Boudicca. Dinner included.

Wednesday 17th April

Our first day is at sea as we journey to the land of Norway. This is the perfect opportunity to explore what’s on board the Boudicca. Do you enjoy the jacuzzi or the swimming pool first? How about working out in the on-board gym? Maybe you just want to indulge in some downtime by reading in the library or pampering yourself in the spa? How you decide to spend your day is up to you and, don’t forget, breakfast, lunch and dinner are all included too so we’ll be able to spend time together. We’ll even be including afternoon tea on board where you can enjoy some mouth-watering sandwiches and cakes while a pianist plays in the background. In the evening after dinner, there’s plenty of entertainment where we can all dance the night away!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight on MS Boudicca.

Thursday 18th April

Today, we step ashore into the town of Bergen, the town of seven hills and seven fjords. This town is full of maritime heritage and even has a 900-year-old UNESCO site – the Bryggen Wharf. We’ll get to know the city a little more on a Bergen walking tour where you’ll visit the Bergenhus Fortress and St Mary’s Church which is the oldest city in Bergen. The rest of the day is yours to spend how you wish. Why not chill out in one of the many arty cafes or sample the catch of the day from the fish market – one of Norway’s most visited outdoor markets. The ship will set sail at 6pm so ensure you’re back on board and we’ll enjoy dinner together later in the evening.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight on MS Boudicca.

Friday 19th April

Our next port of call is an early docking in Flam, a tiny place on the banks of Aurlandsfjord. As well as a pretty little church in the village, Flam is famous for its Flamsbana Railway – one of the most iconic attractions in this part of Norway, and guess what? We’re going to take a 2-hour round trip on this railway from Flam to Myrdal where we’ll pass through the beautiful valleys and past many flowing waterfalls. There’s also a great photo opportunity at Kjos Waterfall – the train will stop just so we can experience this force of nature crashing 225 metres down the cliffs! When we’re back in Flam, we’ll board the ship for 4.30pm to experience the magic of Naeroyfjord in the early evening light. This fjord has been rated by National Geographic as the world’s number one natural heritage site. So be prepared to be blown away as we sail into this fjord’s narrowest points to see beautiful snow-capped mountains, and farms which sit precariously on the fjord’s steep hills!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight on MS Boudicca.

Saturday 20th April

If you’re a bit of an art buff, you’ll love Alesund. Even if you’re not, we still think you’ll love it. Alesund is a place full of towering turrets, big steeples and spires, and gorgeous buildings and balconies. Pedestrianised streets make this city easy to navigate and there are a lot of cafes and art galleries to explore when the ship docks here for the day. We’ll get acquainted with Alesund on a walking tour which will show us the most fascinating Art Nouveau buildings, and we’ll also visit the Art Nouveau Museum too where you’ll discover how this city revived itself in just three years after a fire destroyed the city in 1904.

After the walking tour, one of the major things to do in Alesund is to climb Mount Aksla – if you’re feeling fit enough, the 418 steps will take you to a summit for an incredible panoramic view of Alesund and its coastline.

When you’re feeling peckish, this is the place to try some fresh cod as Alesund is home to Norway’s largest cod fishing fleet – you won’t get any fresher fish than right here. We don’t depart this delightful city until 11pm so there’s plenty of time to hop on and off board as much as you want throughout the day.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight on MS Boudicca.

Sunday 21st April

Olden may appear peaceful and calm but really, it’s a gateway to some of the most dramatic scenery on this trip. Green meadows and babbling brooks soon turn into vertical cliffs and flowing waterfalls through this 12-mile valley. On our day in Olden, we’ll get the chance to travel through the Briksdal Valley to the Briksdal Glacier and National Park. Get your walking boots on as you’ve got the opportunity to join a guided walk through some of Norway’s most incredible nature. Trail over mountainous ground and we’ll ascend to the top of a waterfall where you’ll have a first-hand view of Briksdal Glacier, which is an arm of the Jostedalsbreen Glacier, Europe’s largest inland glacier.

When we’re back on board after an exhilarating day in the fresh Norwegian air, we’ll cruise Nordfjord from late afternoon. This is the sixth longest Norwegian fjord and overlooks Stadhavet, Sunnmoresalpene and Alfotbreen; the deeper we go into the fjord, the wilder the landscape becomes, so grab those cameras because this is one place you’ll want to remember.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight on MS Boudicca.

Monday 22nd April

Another day, another waterfall. Who can complain though? They’re all so impressive, and none more so than Furebergfoss Waterfall. Fed by the water of the Flogefonna Glacier, this waterfall drops from a height of 150 metres and flows straight into the Maurangerfjord. After here we’ll cruise into the Queen of the Fjords, Hardangerfjord. At 179 kilometres long, it’s the fourth longest fjord in the world and reaches 800 metres below sea level, making it one of the deepest in the world too! After cruising some of the most breathtaking scenery, we’ll dock in Eidfjord, a picturesque village with a backdrop of snowcapped mountains that are etched with waterfalls and rivers.

Here you’ll get to discover Eidfjord’s Viking heritage with some local guides! They’ll take you to a local food tasting where you’ll get to try the local Beta soup with homemade bread. There’s even the chance to taste the local Hardanger cider if you fancy! Your guides will then take you into the footsteps of the Vikings where replicas of Viking artefacts and handicrafts await. You’ll even get to try your hand at being a Viking by wearing a Viking helmet and armour! At the end of the tour, you’ll visit some Viking graves before returning to the harbour for some free time in Eidfjord.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight on MS Boudicca.

Tuesday 23rd April

After sailing through the night, we’ll dock in Stavanger, our last port of call on this epic Norwegian Fjord Cruise. In Stavanger you’ll find Old Stavanger, where there are 173 wooden buildings from the turn of the 18th century, lots of street art, and the colourful street of Øvre Holmgate, which is reminiscent of London’s Notting Hill. You can also visit the Stavanger Maritime Museum, the Norwegian Petroleum Museum, or shop until you drop on the city’s high street. You’ll be able to spend a leisurely day here and hop on and off the ship when you like – perfect for our last day in Norway!

Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight on MS Boudicca.

Wednesday 24th April

It’s a relaxing day at sea before we arrive back in the UK. Enjoy a long breakfast before maybe taking part in a yoga class, get active in a dance class, walk a mile around the ship’s running track, or take part in some afternoon trivia. There’s always something going on onboard, so have a chat with your tour manager to find out what’s going on today. We’ll have our last dinner together this evening before enjoying our last night on the Boudicca.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight on MS Boudicca.

Thursday 25th April

It’s an early alarm call this morning as we dock back in Dover at 6am and then it’s sadly time to leave the ship and end our Norwegian Fjord Cruise!
