Welcome to Prague

Over recent years, it has been with pleasure that Traveleyes has travelled with students from International Schools around Europe and beyond. Students act as sighted guides for their vision impaired fellow travellers in pairs of 2, sharing their enthusiastic and descriptive view of the world around us as we travel together. Following the overwhelming success of these trips, we are proud to announce a new trip to Prague, open to vision impaired and sighted travellers who will be accompanied by our International School students. Our vision impaired customers will enjoy the holiday at the same discounted price that’s paid by the sighted travellers. Sighted travellers will have a lighter than usual guiding role on this trip since most of the guiding will be done by our students.

Join Traveleyes and students from BBIS (Berlin Brandenburg International School) on a sensory trip like no other around the gorgeously medieval city of Prague in the Czech Republic. A cultural hub in the heart of Europe, this Bohemian city of spires is perfect for a weekend break of exploration and discovery with all the senses. All meals and excursions are included on our school trips and it’s a brilliant way to travel alongside people from different backgrounds and with fresh perspectives.

Saturday 15th June

This morning we’ll head out by coach to central Prague with a tour guide helping us bring the city to life. Our first visit of the day will be Naplavka Farmers’ Market on the Embankment. As we step into the hustle and bustle of this weekly market you’ll be surrounded by vendors selling local produce, baked delicacies, spices and other delights. A theatre for the senses; there’ll be sensory textures, tastes and smells to experience as we explore.

Following time for refreshment, we’ll board our coach and drive up to Prague Castle, an iconic super-sized building containing over 1000 years of history. Consisting of palaces, airy state rooms and lofty spires, the sprawling castle is the largest of its kind in the world. With so much to describe we’ll take our time and also listen to the history of Prague from our tour guide. We’ll then continue our tour of Prague by walking down to the waterfront and exploring part of the city.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight in Prague.

Containing a vast and intriguing array of exhibits on astronomy, photograph, mining and vehicles, the beautiful building is a spectacle of history, science and technology. We’ll take our time to explore the museum with our guide before heading out for our final group dinner together.
