Wednesday 18th March

Today we depart for Turkey and we’ll arrive into one of the country’s busiest cities, Istanbul. After checking in at our hotel and enjoying a welcome dinner together, the evening is free for you to enjoy how you wish.

Dinner included. Overnight in Istanbul.

Thursday 19th March

Today’s agenda is a full day city tour including the magnificent St Sophia Museum, Byzantine Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, and the large Grand Bazaar. After lunch, you’ll visit the Topkapi Palace including the Imperial Treasury Gardens, and Sultan’s Kitchen. This evening we’ll have free time so enjoy dinner at your leisure before more exploring tomorrow.

Friday 20th March

This morning, we’ll explore the Spice Market of Istanbul where locals still shop for herbs and spices from all over the world. We’ll then embark on a cruise of the Bosphorus, a unique winding strait that separates the continents of Asia and Europe. After the cruise, we’ll journey to the airport for our flight to Cappadocia. It’s only a short one-hour flight and when we land, we’ll transfer to our hotel for an evening at leisure.

Saturday 21st March

Enjoy a leisurely morning before visiting Devrent and Pasabagi valleys where we’ll get to experience the chimney rocks that Cappadocia is famous for. Then it’s onto Avanos Town, an underground city called Kaymakli, the Goreme Open Air Museum and Uchisar Castle, which has many levels carved out of the soft rock.

Sunday 22nd March

We leave Cappadocia this morning and take our transfer to Pamukkale. The journey in total will take around 6.5 hours but will include a stop at the Mevlana Museum which shelters the tomb of Rumi, a Muslim poet and mystic. When we arrive in Pamukkale, it’s time to relax as this is the oldest spa centre in the world and you’ll have time to bathe in an antique pool at an additional cost.

Monday 23rd March

Today our first visit will be to Hierapolis to see the large Roman necropolis, The Great Baths, Frontinus Street, Martyrion of St Phillip, Cleopatra’s Pool and the Travertines of Pamukkale. We’ll then make the journey of around 3 hours to Kusadasi, a coastal resort that’s perfect for exploring or relaxing on one of the many beautiful beaches.

Tuesday 24th March

After breakfast today we’ll travel to Selcuk to visit the Temple of Artemis which was one of the Seven Wonders of The World. It’s then time for a stroll to the world-famous Ancient City of Ephesus which includes the Arcadian Way, Roman Baths, Temple of Hadrian, Celsius Library, the Terrace Houses and the Antique Theatre. We’ll then see the House of The Virgin Mary where she lived her last years before returning to the hotel to enjoy dinner in Kusadasi.

Wednesday 25th March

After breakfast we’ll drive from Kusadasi to Miletus, once one of the biggest cities in Anatolia. Located on the trade routes, it’s for this reason the city became prosperous and had many colonies. We’ll then enjoy lunch before our visit to Didyma, a temple that was dedicated to Apollon and was one of the biggest temples in the Hellanic world. After this, we’ll go to Bodrum, an inviting destination where we’ll get to relax for our last few days.

Thursday 26th March

Enjoy a free day in Bodrum, a coastal town which is traditional and modern in equal measure.

Friday 27th March

Your last full day in Turkey is another day at leisure so enjoy your time after your adventure of exploring this incredible country.

Saturday 28th March

Today we depart Turkey from Bodrum. We hope you’ve had a great holiday enjoying everything that this country has to offer.

Visa requirements: British nationals need a visa to enter Turkey. Turkish visit visas are valid for stays up to 90 days in a 180 day period. We recommend that you get an e-Visa online through the official Republic of Turkey e-Visa website.
