After checking into our hotel, we’ll have some time to rest and refresh before a short orientation tour takes us to our evening’s activity. Tonight, we’ll experience the passion of Seville with a live flamenco performance, where fiery guitar rhythms, soulful singing, and dramatic dance come together in an unforgettable display of Andalusian artistry.
Dinner included. Overnight in Seville.
Saturday 21st February
This morning, we’ll embark on a culinary adventure, starting with a visit to the lively Triana Market, a true sensory feast where the vibrant colours and fresh aromas of local produce, seafood, and spices fill the air. We’ll encounter the heart of Seville’s food culture – freshly caught fish, ripe tomatoes, and the finest cured meats – setting the stage for the hands-on Spanish cooking class that follows. We’ll learn how to prepare three different dishes and a delicious desert, all of which you’ll enjoy for your lunch!
The afternoon will be spent on a guided walking tour of Seville’s historic centre, with visits to the impressive Seville Cathedral and Archive of the Indies which was built in the late 16th century to house all the documentation relating to the administration of the Spanish colonies. Ending our tour at the Plaza de Espana which features colourful tiled bridges, sweeping arcades and a canal along which rowing boats majestically glide.
This evening is free for you to enjoy dinner at leisure, with an option to take a relaxing nighttime cruise along the Guadalquivir River.
Breakfast and lunch included. Overnight in Seville.
Sunday 22nd February
Today we head to the region of La Campiña where we’ll immerse ourselves in the rich heritage of olive oil at a charming farm and museum. We’ll explore the ancient production process, taste premium olive oils, and discover the deep-rooted tradition behind one of Spain’s most prized exports. After a short walking tour of the historic town of Carmona, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch in a local restaurant before heading back to Seville for some free time. This evening, we will visit the Metropol Parasol, known locally as Las Setas (The Mushrooms), a multi-sensory modern ‘sculptural building’ with an undulating canopy resembling six giant mushrooms. You will take a self-guided audio-visual tour of this unusual and exquisite monument.
Breakfast and lunch included. Overnight in Seville.
Monday 23rd February
This morning, we’ll be stepping into a world of royal splendour with a guided tour of the Real Alcázar Palace and its stunning gardens. As we explore this UNESCO World Heritage site, our guide will unveil the fascinating history behind the detailed Moorish architecture, from the delicate arches of the Patio de las Doncellas to the grandeur of the Hall of Ambassadors. We’ll wander lush gardens filled with fountains, fragrant flowers, and shaded courtyards, where centuries of history come alive. This fascinating tour will transport you to the heart of Seville’s past, offering a glimpse into the opulent lives of Spanish kings and queens.
A free afternoon is left for you to explore some more of Seville’s character and charm. You might want to visit the Jewish quarter with its winding narrow streets, whitewashed buildings and shady hidden squares, or a stroll through the Jardines de Murillo with its relaxing fountains and scent of Jasmine. Or perhaps, you’d rather relax with a coffee at the Plaza de Espana, a calming spot with welcoming cafes by the canal and a great spot to watch the world go by.
